He was taught to have faith and desired to serve a mission. He served his mission in Northern England in 1966-1968. There he developed a strong knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was able to raise his family in his faith. When he finished his mission he returned to Cedar City to pursue his college education at Southern Utah State College(now SUU) and while there he met his sweetheart Linda. He was willing to follow her anywhere to be with her and desired to get married so he applied to Idaho State University Pharmacy school and was accepted. He graduated pharmacy school in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and moved to Las Vegas to pursue his career. He worked at Kmart in Las Vegas and Harmon’s pharmacy in St George. He and his wife and family lived there until 1993, they then decided to move their family to the St. George, Utah area. They built their home on a beautiful lot in Washington Fields. He was very passionate about many things and when he committed to something he did it with his full heart and desired to bring others to his passions. Some of his passions included photography, gardening, bicycling, soccer and the gospel. He studied the scriptures often and had a beautiful knowledge of the gospel. He served as the North Washington Fields Stake Gardening Specialist for 20+ years helping to educate and bring many into the fold of gardening and often sharing the bounty of his own garden with everyone around him.
