Nancy Ann Fuller

February 1, 1944 — October 20, 2024

St. George

February 1, 1944 – October 20, 2024 Nancy Ann Hoopes Fuller, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Baker City, Oregon, on February 1, 1944, Nancy lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of everyone around her.

Growing up with her “crazy” brothers, Nancy was never short of adventure and mischief. From building “airplanes” out of 2x4s to attempting to fly them off the backyard shed, her childhood was filled with stories that brought joy to all who have heard them, and likely fear to those that lived them. Nancy's parents, John and Letha (Lovejoy) Hoopes, were well-educated and instilled in her a lifelong desire to learn and grow. Her father owned the Broadway Garage, a respected auto mechanic shop, while her mother worked for the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management Soil Conservation Service.

As a young girl, Nancy and her family were introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, leading to their conversion and baptism. This early foundation shaped her life and guided her path. Nancy dedicated herself to following the teachings of Jesus Christ, embodying kindness and charity. Her generous heart knew no bounds; she found her greatest joy in helping others, often giving of herself even when she needed her own support. Nancy served in many positions and capacities in the Church including Relief Society President.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, F. Heber Fuller; her brothers, Dale (Joyce) Hoopes and Kenneth Hoopes; sister-in-law Debbie (Rex) Hoopes; and her three sons and one cherished daughter, Ryan (Amber) Fuller, Steven (Laura) Fuller, Russell (Laura) Fuller, and Carissa (Bryan) Hatch. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her 21 treasured grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Letha Hoopes; her oldest brother, Garry Hoopes; and her youngest brother, Rex Hoopes, who await her with open arms. Nancy is also remembered for her lively Yellow Napped Amazon parrot, Polly, a spirited companion who brought chaos and joy to her home, and her love for all animals, having cared for 23 dogs over her lifetime.

A true artist at heart, Nancy expressed her creativity in many ways. She was a Certified Master Porcelain Doll Artist, a passionate horse lover, an antique car collector, and an avid horticulturist. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and she delighted family and friends with delicious meals that fostered connection, celebration and endeared to her the many who enjoyed one of her delicious meals. Nancy created a nurturing environment for those around her, always welcoming anyone in need of a place to stay. From members of the family, she was born into to the many people that she made feel members of her family, she shared her love and her home to all. Her kitchen table and hearth were filled with people from allover the world. No one was ever turned away from her table. Her hospitality, grace and love were freely given to all those who knew her, lived with her and to the many visitors that were welcomed always to her home.
