Margaret Alice Kolasky

Margaret was born on Sept. 17 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio. She went to South High School where she was in the National Honor Society every year. After graduation from high school she attended nurses training at Youngstown Hospital Association School Of Nursing. She graduated nursing school in 1960 and went to work for Southside Hospital in Youngstown. In 1962 she married Joseph Kolasky Jr., from Newton Falls and on their wedding night they left for Las Vegas with her new husband who worked for the City of North Las Vegas. They had two children Sherry Babcock from Washington Ut. and Joseph Kolasky from Henderson Nv. While they lived in Las Vegas she became very active in women's tennis and she played for many years for a Strip hotel until it was sold and they discontinued women's team tennis. They had a tennis court built in their backyard where they spent many hours challenging each other. Their daughter took them to Prescott Az. and they fell in love with the place and her husband built a new home in the pines and after 3 years of heavy show and sub zero temp. They decided to move back to Las Vegas where they bought a new home and they lived there six years before moving to Washington, UT. where we live today. She loves to take care of the landscaping and her roses. She also loved to go to the senior center in St. George and Washington City Recreation Center for senior aerobics. After she broke her ankle her life changed , it never healed correctly and she could not do her aerobics again. She continued doing a little landscaping maintenance and tending her roses, until she became disabled and on December 6 2024 she died at home. The survivors she leaves are her husband, Joseph, of 62 years and two children, Sherry (Timothy) Babcock, Joseph, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents John and Carmel Johnson.
