Justin Lee Seymour, 55, of St. George, Utah, passed away on January 15, 2025, after a tragic accident. Justin was born on March 30, 1969, to Terry and James Seymour in Sacramento, California. After Justin graduated from Ponderosa High School, Shingle Springs, in 1986, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Oklahoma Tulsa Mission, from 1988 to 1990. On August 29, 1992, he married Deanna in the Oakland California Temple. Justin and Deanna went on to have 4 children, Austin, Dillon, Jessica, and Bryan and two grandchildren, Lukas and Emery Brynn. In 2015, Justin moved his family from California to Rexburg, Idaho, and spent the last 10 years serving his family, his neighbors, and building lasting and loving relationships with his fellow brothers and sisters in the Rexburg community. In 2019, he was called to serve as High Councilman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Young Single Adult 10th Stake at BYUI. In 2020, he was called to serve as Bishop of the 34th Ward in the YSA 10th Stake. From 2020 to 2024, Justin also served in the Rexburg Temple as a Temple Worker. Of all the many wonderful adventures and service opportunities Justin was able to be a part of, serving for 3 years as the Bishop for the YSA 34th ward was one of his greatest joys. In December of 2024, he moved his family to St. George, Utah. Justin was and is a true disciple of Jesus Christ who lived, played, loved, worked, and served with his whole heart.
Justin is survived by his wife Deanna, his children Austin (Marinda), Dillon, Bryan, Jessica (Kalvin) Koetting, and his beloved grandchildren Lukas and Emery Brynn. He is also survived by his parents Terry and James Seymour, and his siblings Shawndee Neilson, Jason, Janae Lluen, Jared, and Kevin.
