Gerald Allen Randall, 76, passed away on July 21, 2024 in Saint George, UT due to ongoing health complications. He was born on December 8, 1947 to Blanche Elizabeth Jacoby and Clayton Merlin Randall.

 Gerald (Jerry) Allen Randall was born in Wichita, KS. He was raised in Douglass, KS and graduated from high school in 1966. He then was manager of an A&W Root Beer in Wellington. He was also part owner and manager of the Trails Inn Steakhouse in Augusta, KS. He was married and sealed to Madelon Carol Eby in the Oakland Temple on February 5, 1977. They had 6 children: Trina, Jereamie, Jason, Cameron, Bryan, and Orrey. He graduated from the police academy in El Dorado, KS in 1977. They then moved to Buena Vista, CO in 1980, where they raised their family. He worked for the Buena Vista Police Department for 28 years and retired as Vice Chief of Police. After retiring, he worked at the Buena Vista Correctional Facility and for Homeland Security in Lake County. He served in multiple callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including Scout Master, Elder’s Quorum President, and Second Counselor in the branch presidency. He was a member of the Shootist and the Kiwanis. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and he qualified the police departments, the county and the highway patrol. Of all his positions he held in life, the one he held most dear was that of being a father. He was very active with his children in attending all of their activities. Later in life, he moved to Apple Valley, UT, where he met and married Kerry Briggs Certonio in 2015 and was sealed in the St. George, UT temple on July 30th, 2016. He was always building something and working with his hands on his property. He was an avid gun enthusiast. Jerry loved being with friends and family and truly valued the time he got to spend with them. He shared his testimony with his children often and loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Jerry is survived by his wife Kerry, and children from a previous marriage with Madelon Randall: Trina Hart (James), Jereamie (Shelly), Jason (Marissa), Cameron (Sibonet), Bryan (Tabatha), and Orrey (Danielle), and brothers Terry and Daniel.  Survived by Kerry's children Glyn A Certonio and Tony A Certonio (Lisa).   He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Blanche and Clayton, brother Michael Randall and daughter Tracy Todd.

Gerald's funeral will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at 274 S 100 W Hurricane, UT 84737.   A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 AM. 

Interment will take place at Hurricane City Cemetery under the care of McArthur Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
