Ivins, Utah
Frederic Serge Castagne, 44 of Ivins, UT returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, accepting the call to serve across the veil. on May 19, 2024, surrounded by his family, in his home in Ivins, UT
Fred was born on February 22, 1980 to Andre Joseph Marcel Serge Castagne and Micheline Marie Clotilde Dorsey in Hull, Quebec, Canada. Due to Catholic protocols, marriage was not possible.
Later, Andre met Lucie Lauzon, along with her two children, Marc Andre Roy and Stephanie Roy. Fred had many happy memories with Stephanie and Marc. He never felt like an only child.
On December 31, 2010, Fred married Rebecca Castagne, in Ivins, UT, welcoming her two children into his life, Dustin Blair Goeke and Edward Frank Goeke.
Shortly after his marriage, Fred moved to Ivins, Utah and soon after, became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He used his priesthood to bless his family and those around him. He took his callings to heart and excelled in all that he was called to do.
In 2017, he took his family to the Salt Lake Temple to be sealed for time an eternity and sealed another child in need into his family in 2022.
His Naturalization was finished in 2018.This particular event meant the world to him. He had a strong testimony of our Founding Fathers, the Constitution and Declaration of Independence and the blessings and obligations that come with living on a land that was consecrated to God.
Fred loved and was loved by all who knew him. He loved his job and the people he worked with on a daily basis and was excited to be a part of the projects and growth in City of Ivins. He liked to spend his leisure time golfing, rapelling, site-seeing, hiking, doing family history and going to the Temple.
His life was a testimony of his beliefs. He loved his Father in Heaven and reflected his love in everything he did.
