Athena Faye Taylor

Athena, Mom and I named you knowing it would represent strength and wisdom.  We had no idea how much of that you would embody in your life and in your very soul. Your strength, your light, and your kindness was felt by so many.

Athena, our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend was taken from us in a tragic accident while doing what she loved, riding on the back of her fiance's motorcycle with all her family and friends.  Unfortunately, Owen Hart, her fiance, was also lost to us while protecting our Athena.

Athena will be missed by all as her light, her goodness, and her laughter touched so many.  Her laughter was unique and often silly, but it was contagious.  She was fearless in her friendships and in her love for her fiance, Owen. Their love was one born of fairy tales, of the love that so many would be lucky to have, to love your best friend.

Athena loved all animals but she loved cats most of all.  A few years ago she found her cat, "Mr. Kitty" and the two were inseparable.  When Athena and Owen found Mr. Dan, Mr. Kitty's three legged little brother, their family was starting to build.

Athena had a love of soccer and before her passing she was finally able to join a soccer team, the Strikers. Though they weren't the best, she was having so much fun with her friends.

Athena was a hard worker, and dedicated to doing a good job.  She started working for a cleaning company, Dirt Devils where she grew into a strong and independent woman.  She excelled at it, often telling us better ways to clean. And yes Kiddo, we will clean that shower door. She moved on to a new job as an executive assistant at St. George Truss Co.  She only was able to work for a little while but she was really excited and enjoyed the change and was loved by everyone there.

She loved her rides with Owen. The awesome feeling of being on a bike was something she shared with her grandfather Gary Taylor.  Her love began from riding on the back of her grandpa, Ray Beal's, 4 wheeler when she was a little girl.   Athena glowed every time she put on her leathers and clung on to Owen and he kept her safe.

Athena was the best of her mom and dad.  She was like them in every way.  You can see them both in her smile, in her laughter, and in her love.  Though, I'm still sorry I gave you my feet.

Athena was preceded in death by her grandfather , Ray Beal, and her doggies, Bella ( Dooter ) and Daisy. She is survived by her mother, Nicole Beal Taylor (Mike Showell),  her father, Jason Eugene Taylor (Jamie Larsen), her brothers McKinnley and Kyler Taylor,  her grandmother Verlynn Beal and her grandparents Gary and Candy Taylor, as well as numerous cousins and friends. Last but not least, Mr Kitty and Mr. Dan the cat.
